Safety is the foundation of every show.
House shows happen in personal spaces. That means everyone involved has a responsibility to keep things safe. Here is how HouseShow helps.
Identity and Verification
Know who you are working with.
- →All users must create an account with a valid email address before booking or hosting a show
- →Musicians are expected to maintain a complete profile with real music links, a bio, and a profile photo
- →Hosts are expected to provide accurate venue details including capacity and location
- →Ratings from past shows are visible on every profile so both parties can make informed decisions
Address Privacy
Your home address is never shown publicly.
- →Show listings display only the neighborhood and city, never the full street address
- →The exact venue address is shared only with ticket holders after they complete their purchase
- →This protects hosts from unwanted visitors and ensures only confirmed attendees know the location
Liability Waiver
All attendees acknowledge the inherent risks of live events.
When purchasing a ticket through HouseShow, attendees agree to a liability waiver acknowledging that live events in private spaces carry inherent risks including personal injury, property damage, and noise. HouseShow is a technology platform that facilitates connections between musicians, hosts, and fans. HouseShow does not own venues, employ performers, or produce events, and is not liable for incidents that occur at shows.
Tips for Hosts
Protect your home and your guests.
- →Review musician profiles and ratings carefully before accepting a booking request
- →Set a realistic capacity limit for your space and stick to it
- →Communicate house rules clearly before the show, including parking, noise, shoes-off policies, and off-limits areas
- →Know your local noise ordinances and plan show times accordingly
- →Have a plan for managing the crowd if the event reaches capacity
- →Keep emergency exits clear and accessible at all times
Tips for Musicians
Play with confidence.
- →Confirm all show details with the host in advance, including load-in time, set length, and sound equipment
- →Arrive on time and be prepared to perform as agreed
- →Respect the host's space, house rules, and neighbors
- →Review host ratings and ask questions before accepting a booking in an unfamiliar area
- →Report any issues immediately using the dispute system on HouseShow
Reporting Issues and Emergencies
We take every report seriously.
No-Shows and Disputes
If a musician or host fails to show up, the other party can file a no-show report from their bookings page. Payment disputes, cancellation issues, or conduct problems can be escalated through the dispute system. The HouseShow team reviews every case within 48 hours.
Safety Concerns
For non-emergency safety concerns related to a show or a user, email support@houseshow.net with as much detail as possible.
Emergencies
If you are in immediate danger or witness a medical emergency at a show, call 911 immediately. HouseShow is not a substitute for local emergency services, law enforcement, or medical professionals. Your safety comes first.
